H Series Hydraulic Marine Motors

Our Savage Seas brand H series hydraulic motors offers superior corrosion resistance versus traditional hydraulic motors. Our motors are powder coated, then epoxy coated, and finally polyurethane coated to last a lifetime with minimal to no corrosion in the rugged marine environment. Our Savage Seas series hydraulic motors also offers higher torque than the Char-Lynn/ Eaton brand motors, giving your hauler/ winch more line pull and much better performance. Our motors offer much more superior “roll back resistance” versus the Char-Lynn/ Eaton brand motors, better holding your gear in place when your hydraulic valve is in the neutral position. For those that don’t know, roll back is when you have a heavy load and the hydraulic motor will “creep” backwards(rolling backwards) on you when trying to tend your gear with your hydraulic valve in the neutral position. Beware that NO brand or manufacture offer any type of warranty on a hydraulic motor for roll back, they will only warranty manufacture defects. so that’s why we have tried many brands of hydraulic motors to only offer the most successful motor to hold up against roll back, especially far out performing any other brand in this category as it’s a major issue for fisherman to work against if not chosen correctly.

Note: if your hydraulic system is working 2000PSI or above than an external case drain from motor to return line is required to prevent motor damage/ failure. This applies to all brands of hydraulic motors, not just ours. Benefits of a case drain include - major reduction in heat generation in hydraulic system. Prevents motor shaft seal from over pressurization and leaks. Helps prevent contamination, and far extending equipment lifespan.
